The Chatham County SALT Council (Seniors and Law Enforcement Together) is an organization which includes law enforcement, private and public organizations, and citizens of Chatham County who help identify senior safety and crime concerns in our area. Collectively, we brainstorm to find solutions to meet these concerns. Problems and solutions are then presented to the appropriate agencies for support and implementation.
We depend on help from our community. Get involved to improve your neighborhood and support us: every step brings us a little further.
The Chatham County SALT Council meets on a monthly basis. There are quarterly educational forums available to community groups. Each year, Consumer College provides an opportunity for seniors to hear from law enforcement and other community leaders directly and learn more about current safety and crime prevention topics.
